Each year as summer comes around people across the globe start to prepare for their summer vacation, for some this may be a long haul journey to the other end of the world where as for others it may only be a trip down the motorway to somewhere a bit warmer!
Whatever the vacation is the associated traveling takes a lot of preparation with people buying new clothes, luggage, toiletries, sun lotions, medicines and other holiday essentials. As well as gathering all the holiday essentials there is the matter of arranging travel to and from airports, ferry terminals, train stations etc, which can involve booking taxi's, minibuses or getting a bus. After organizing travel and gathering all the holiday essentials together, travelers also have to ensure that all tickets and passports are kept safe and in date, which with a party of people can be harder than it sounds.
With so much to do one of the most important necessities of any trip can often be over looked, travel insurance! As this is something that is not required by law to travel and is often not needed it can get overlooked and forgotten about. However, failing to obtain travel insurance before any trip can be a catastrophic error should anything go wrong whilst away. Should an accident occur whilst away and the person has no travel insurance medical bills will soon add up leaving the injured party with a hefty bill to pay, potentially ruining the vacation! When you consider that travel insurance can now be obtained cheaply and conveniently there is no excuse for not having the right cover whilst on vacation.

Rising gas prices, air fares, hotel rates… bills, bills, bills… But none of these are keeping travelers off the roads to get their much deserved vacation. According to the triple-A, around 35 million Americans traveled during the Memorial Day weekend - A hundred thousand more than last year’s. The number only says that there’s no stopping the common American from hitting the road to take a break. But how does one cope with all the spending to make sure that there’s enough left to go back to the normal life they left off? How does one prepare for traveling and avoiding hassles during and after their vacation?
Hotel rates are up between 5 and 10 percent.; Airfares, 14 percent; a gallon of gas? More than a higher than last year. So what’s an American to do? Here are a few tips:
1. Awareness of Peak Travel Day Fees – Peak travel day fees are applied when there is a higher demand. These hidden travel fees increase the price of your flight, especially during the months of June, July, and August. During these months, every day is almost considered as a “peak” day. And the only way to avoid it? – postpone your vacation until the end of the summer, which is quite a hassle since you don’t want to ruin your kids’ summer vacation.
2. Bargains -- There are lots of cheap travel packages going to the Caribbean, Cancun and Las Vegas during the summer months.
3. Travel Tips from CBP – They say that people who read fast get ahead. This might be true, except for some information that you really need to remember and digest like the tips from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Here are some CBP tips that you should remember before you go:
a. Have all the required travel documents for the countries you’re visiting. To add, identification for re-entry to the U.S. Passports are also required for re-entry.
b. Declare everything you are bringing in from abroad. This includes items that are bought in a duty free shop as these items are also subject to U.S. duty fees and other restrictions.
c. Be cautious when buying something from a street vendor. Some merchandise can be classified as counterfeit or unsafe and you may have to surrender it to the CBP when you get home.
d. Know that things bought abroad for personal use or as gifts are eligible for duty exemptions. But if you’re going to resell them, they are not eligible.
e. Have a quick look at the list of prohibited merchandise (such as ivory, tortoise shell, absinthe, and counterfeit items) and restricted merchandise.
f. Be aware that many foreign-made meds are not FDA-approved. You cannot bring these meds into the U.S. Also remember that, when traveling abroad, bring only the amount of medication that you’re going to use during your trip.
g. Cuban-made products are a big no-no.
h. Don’t bring any food into the U.S. without checking to see if it’s permitted. To add, exotic pets like live birds, whether it’s for your personal use or for commercial use, may be restricted and/or quarantined.
i. You also have to remember that CBP officers can inspect you and your belongings without a warrant. This may include your luggage, vehicle, and personal searches. This is meant to enforce U.S. laws as well as protect legitimate travelers.
4. Maintain Your Tires – Most people would opt to go on a road trip instead of flying, so a good advice to take is to check if your tires are properly inflated. Estimates show that U.S. motorists could save up to 700 million gallons of gas each year just by maintaining their tires properly. To add, tuning-up and putting the correct motor oil in your car can improve fuel efficiency by up to 4 percent.
5. Find a Cheap Vacation Rental -- Looking for a cheap vacation rental near your intended destination can save you money, especially if you’re going out with a large group. Instead of booking a hotel during peak season, try to look for a vacation rental that has all the amenities that you need.

The insurance covers retiree, senior as well as group medical policies. This a product of the partnership between Insurance Direct Canada-I.D.C and Group Medical Services-GMS which are offering an exceptional travel insurance policy specifically to serve the travelling needs of Snowbirds. The Snowbird travel insurance has won praise among Snowbirds who have been ignored for a long time as far as insurance plans are concerned. Canadian retirees have for a long time gone through tribulations and unnecessary anxieties because no insurance policy was catering for their travel needs. As a Snowbird, you now have the opportunity to enjoy the fruits of your labor by travelling to your dream destination without being anxious.
Canada is one of the world countries that have made major steps in insurance with provision of insurance services covering various aspects of the human life and his/her belongings. All ages have been covered in their insurance plans. People all over the world are travelling either on official duties or on vacations. If you thought only the working class has been protected during their trips, then you are quite wrong. The old as well as retirees have a reason to smile and enjoy travelling following the introduction of an insurance policy known as snowbird travel insurance. A large percentage of Canadians known by the name "Snowbirds" are making trips from the country more so during the winter season in Canada. More often than not, the trips range between three and six months involving retirees who desire warm weather.
The policy "Snowbird travel insurance" was derived from the name used in reference to this group of Canadians-the Snowbirds.
However, GMS isn't the sole company offering Snowbird travel insurance to insurance buyers wishing to undertake this kind of cover. IDC only acts as a broker representing other insurance firms. Snowbird travel insurance is offered at affordable rates and hence people in different economic levels qualify to undertake the policy.
Regardless of whether Canadian Snowbirds are travelling within or out of the country, they are provided with emergency medical cover. There are also travel insurance policies for Canadian visitors.
No one wishes to go through tribulations while travelling and always hopes to have an exclusive travel experience, but things do not happen as per our expectations. Many times people have travelled across borders without necessarily having travel insurance. However, this was as result of luck and not custom or principle. Snowbirds are subject to regular illness which might strike unannounced and hence need to undertake Snowbird travel insurance cover. When such emergencies occur in the absence of this kind of cover, it is hard for Snowbirds to solve such problems keeping in mind that most of them lack a steady income. This is very beneficial at such times. This policy covers all medical bills saving Snowbirds the agony of indebtedness.
Snowbirds not covered under this policy have ended up spending dearly from their own pockets; expenses they could have avoided had they taken cover earlier. Nevertheless, it is never late and one can always make a step and purchase the policy.

Travelling might be the best thing to do especially after a wedding or a promotion. Moreover with the festive season spreading its glory far and wide, people are travelling to various destinations; either to catch up with loved ones or to capture a glimpse of a beautiful spot in their minds’ thresholds. However with our lives becoming more disaster prone, safety is a prime concern for even the shortest of trips.
There are a few basic travelers’ tips that people must keep in mind before they say goodbye to their loved ones. The first most important thing to do is to sign into the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program, in order to aid the State Department in better assistance. This proves helpful in case of an emergency or a crisis while traveling.
It is also recommended to fill up the emergency information form while signing the passport. The passport should be valid and duly signed.
To meet any unpredicted exigency, it is also advisable to keep copies of passport and itinerary with family members, this will help them locate you easily if anything wrong occurs.
Another vital task before moving out for a trip especially abroad is to check with the insurance company about overseas coverage.
However traveling need not be a completely panicky situation. Especially if it is a honeymoon trip, safety first; but other things too need to be taken care of. Planning a tentative budget and registration with a reputed honeymoon travel agent is also an important thing to do.
For any kind of trip, right and light packing is yet another vital thing. While an adventure trip might require you to pack the right clothes and shoes, a romantic getaway would on the other hand require you to pack minimum, permitting enough space for souvenirs that you might pick up.
While on a romantic cruise tipping is a good idea to steal away some cozy moments and it is better to watch others from the ship while everyone else is ashore!

Each travel is important, it can be a vacation trip you have planned for months, a very important business affair, something you need to do to accomplish an important task or you are representing your country for a special event. But when a sudden onset of various inconvenience brought by traveller’s diarrhoea gets into the way, you only have two choices: let it ruin your trip and everything you have traded for that, or strike back and prevent things before it breaks you. And for most cases, everyone will definitely choose the latter option.
Diarrhoea or traveller’s diarrhoea (TD) is considered the most common enemy of travelers from industrialized or developed countries spending days or weeks in developing countries, as the sudden change in their gastrointestinal environment is attacked by microorganisms generally found in these countries, which includes, Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America. This condition is also known as bali belly, delhi belly, Montezuma’s revenge and Rangoon runs, among other names, is basically caused by ingestion of food or water contaminated with traveller’s diarrhoea causing microorganisms. Even though it is a self-limiting condition and usually clears up after 3 to 4 days, the inconveniences of this illness is just an utter nuisance of your trip (or right after you went home). The symptoms of diarrhea or diarrhoea in UK, includes the following:
• Frequent loose bowel movements in 24-hour period
• Abdominal cramps
• Abdominal bloating
• Urgency to go to the toilet
• Mild fever
• Blood in stools (in some cases)
Because of these said symptoms, that may occur 1 or 2 weeks after the arrival to the developing country, getting paralyzed all throughout your travel is a great hindrance from you accomplishing all your tasks or enjoying the vacation. Luckily if these occur when you got home, but the case is just downright hassling at any point you look at it. Since traveller’s diarrhoea is characterized by frequent bowel movements and vomiting, lots of fluid gets off your body, and as most people know, dehydration can be fatal once ignored. The feeling of lack of energy due to dehydration caused by diarrhea or diarrhoea can stop you from accomplishing tasks. Aside from that, when dysentery occurs, which is marked as bloody diarrhoea with fever that occurs to 10% of all cases of this illness, there is a high risk that you might get confined to bed or be advised to curtail your activities until your condition improve.
With these simple facts alone, there is no question that traveller’s diarrhoea should not be disregarded, as it can strip off every ounce of enjoyment and productivity in you during your travel. Be informed, be safe and be responsible for yourself.

A dream destination for one and all. It's an ideal place to discover each other while falling for the panoramic beauty of the Alps. Like if you want some loneliness or some quiet place you can go for trekking on Mount Rigi or you can go to the lake, take a boat ride and also sit besides the banks of the lake.If you are young, you can go for casinos or Mount Titlis for some adventure sports.
Places like Mount Titlis and Mount Rigi when covered with snow show the most serene and picturesque view. Whereas, in summers it is all green, the clouds come down to your side as if becoming companions of you for the moment. One can sit there for hours and absorb the beauty of the nature. And yes! don't forget to gobble down the Desi food like Pav Bhaji and Vada Pav while coming down from Mount Titlis. It would seem as the best food around.
The lake and even the small villages like Interlaken are more than enough to take your breath away. If you are more into shopping than you can enjoy the pleasure by shopping in branded stores like Cartier, Armani, Gucci etc. There are also various markets (like Coop stores) where you can find stuff totally matching your style and comfort, and at very reasonable prices.
Believing that whatever expenses you incur while planning your trip to Switzerland is totally worth it. You can definitely count on my words.

Kids will enjoy a trip to the Copenhagen Zoo, and art enthusiasts will want to take a trip to see Edvard Eriksen's statue of the Little Mermaid.
Historical and Architectural Attractions
While Slotsholmen is a monument in itself to Copenhagen's historical architecture, there are places outside of the city center's walls that are just as rich in historical value. On the city's outskirts lie Kronborg and Frederiksborg castles, Kronborg being the actual castle that Elsinore Castle of Shakespeare's Hamlet was based on. There are also many historical attractions northeast of Indre By, including the Rosenburg palace, the Kongens Have gardens and the Botanisk Have greenhouses, the Marmorkirke church, the Amalienborg palace, and the Kastellet military fort.
There are two great places for shopping in Copenhagen: Strøget, the pedestrian mall that links four of the city's streets, and Fields, Scandinavia's largest shopping center. For dining, fresh herring can be found in the restaurants along Nyhavn, and typical Mediterranean cuisine can be found in establishments condensed mostly within Indre By. Drinking is a popular pastime in Copenhagen, and it is not difficult to find a pub on just about every corner serving lager, Scandinavia's drink of choice. However, wine is also pretty easy to find in some of the city's more upscale dining establishments. Recently, Copenhagen has acquired some cocktail bars and nightclubs These clubs can be found in four different areas around the city -- Indre By, Tivoli, Vesterbro, and Nørrebro.

Why you need a travel wallet.
In truth it is not an absolutely essential travel item, but it is a very good tool to help you keep organised at the most hectic moments during your travels. It will you you keep all the important travel documents, including your passport and airline tickets in one place, ready to access when you need them. Your fellow passengers will love you, as you won't be scrambling for the right piece of paper when you get to the front of the airline check-in line, or hotel check-in line, or whatever line you'll inevitably have to be waiting in!
Travel wallets come in various styles, and searching the internet, you'll find people referring to money belts and neck pouches as travel wallets. Those however, are not travel wallets. A travel wallet is a wallet, usually about the size an old school airline ticket (i.e.not an e-ticket), or larger.
The purpose of a travel wallet is for storing your passport, your travel tickets, travel itinerary and any other travel document you have. A good travel wallet will also have a provision for a pen, which actually is an essential travel item!
Choosing a travel wallet will depend on your budget, your style, whether you need to store passports for other family members and also your travel style. If you are looking for a great gift for a someone who is an avid traveller or who needs to travel a lot for work, look for a good quality leather one that will last many years.

Did you know that the travel industry is the fastest growing industry in the world? Last year alone, there were over 715 million international arrivals worldwide according to the World Tourism Organization. And, each arrival leaves its footprint behind.
Eco-Friendly travel (also known as ecotravel and/or sustainable travel) is travel which promotes a sustainable environment. Travel is a wonderful opportunity to experience our planet, yet poses an enormous threat to it. Leah Powell, president of Trade to Travel (www.TradeToTravel.com), recommends the following websites and easy sustainable travel tips:
Planning Your Trip:
Seek accommodations and tours which carry environmental-friendly certifications or memberships in green industry associations - such as Green Seal or Green Leaf.
Travel to fewer destinations and stay longer at the destinations you do visit. Air travel leaves the largest carbon footprint of any form of travel. Choose trains and buses over airplanes whenever possible.
Don’t fly at night. Trails of condensation from aircraft have a greater warming effect at night, trapping heat but without reflecting any of the sun's rays back into the atmosphere as they do during the day.
Select accommodations close to public transportation or near the places you are going to visit during your stay.
When flying, book electronic tickets. It reduces paper waste and you're less likely to lose your ticket.
If you own a vacation property (villa, chalet, condo, apartment, flat, boutique hotel, castle, estate, bed and breakfast, spa, penthouse, private aircraft, yacht, or private island), become a member of Trade to Travel (www.TradeToTravel.com). Not only will you save 80% on fine accommodations worldwide, you'll be gentler on the planet. Instead of building more and more properties, let's share the ones we already have.
Before You Go:
Pull the plug on any unnecessary appliances such as TVs, VCRs, stereos, toasters, and microwaves. These items may still use energy even in their off mode.
Set your thermostat and water heater at low settings so energy isn't wasted while you're gone.
Stop your newspaper or donate the paper to a school while you're gone.
When You’re There:
Never buy items made from endangered species.
Leave no trace. Do not pick flowers, take rocks or break coral. Don’t litter. Be familiar with cultural mores prior to arrival be respectful of cultural practices.
Shop local: Head to local markets, where you can purchase fresh food from local vendors (which reduces the pollution required to import goods). This benefits the community by increasing their economy, and you will get fresh fruits and veggies and maybe even some handmade souvenirs.
If your accommodations have an environmental program, please participate as much as possible. If you have any questions about how, simply ask when you check in or by calling the front desk.
Never leave lights on when you're not in the room.
Lower the thermostat when you leave the room for long periods of time.
If your destination is a warm climate, close the drapes. Or, if you have Venetian blinds, angle them up to bounce the sunlight off the ceiling. This will keep the room cooler. Conversely let the sun warm up your room during the day if you're in a cooler climate.
Leave unopened shampoo, soap, and other items in your accommodations when you leave unless you're taking them home to use.
Avoid room service and carry-out which increase waste.
Use water sparingly. In some places water is a very scarce and precious resource.
Walk or use public transportation whenever possible.
If you're driving, please carpool and/or rent hybrid a vehicle.
Grab only the maps and brochures that you will actually use. If in a large group, share brochures whenever possible.
Take pictures and leave the location as you found it. Never remove wildlife from its natural environment including shells, flowers and coral.
When hiking or camping, stay only in marked areas to avoid destroying vegetation.
If you're staying in a vacation rental property, leave the property owner a note letting them know that he/she can become a member of Trade to Travel (www.TradeToTravel.com), save 80% on vacation properties worldwide, and make a BIG difference for Mother Earth. It'll almost certainly be the best tip that any of their guests have ever left them!

When you're traveling, you have to be ready to be a flexible traveler... even when you've got your itinerary planned down to the last minute. There are just times when it doesn't work out the way you planned.
You know it... the world is changing quickly all the time. With the internet and 24 hour news, travel is changing. It's changed a lot since we started traveling. The world and your travel plans can even change WHILE you're traveling.
The point is, while you may have things planned out, you have to at least be aware that you might have to change your plans... be a flexible traveler. You have to be prepared for changes.
Here's our most extreme example.... We had just arrived in Nairobi, Kenya on September 11, 2001. A few hours after our arrival.... suddenly.... things were totally different in the world of travel....
In this most extreme of circumstances, our safari went off as planned.
In less extreme examples, your tour operator could change hotels, or your cruise ship could change ports of call. One time we didn't stop at a Caribbean port because of political unrest.
Ships may be delayed or rerouted because of weather. On a cruise around Antarctica, we had to skip one stop because the pack ice was way too thick.
Weather can certainly cause changes. We were visiting Gombe National Park in Tanzania to see chimps. We had to leave the park the night before our flight from Kigoma rather than the morning of the flight because of a storm brewing on Lake Tanganyika. We still saw all the chimps, but back in Kigoma, we had time for a drive to the little town of Ujiji where Stanley met Livingstone.... you know, as in "Dr Livingstone I presume?" That change was a bonus.
Flights can be delayed due to weather. This applies in the middle of your trip as well as the beginning and end. We were going into the jungle in Peru, but weather delayed our flight to Puerto Maldonado. We had to overnight in that frontier town. The river wasn't safe to navigate as late as we got in.... then we extended our trip for a day so we had our full time in the jungle.
Even with a group booking you might not be safe. We got left behind on a flight to Tibet because a Chinese delegation took our seats. The plane wasn't overbooked, at least not until the government stepped in! So our tour operator gave us two more days seeing Nepal, and we got a private tour of Tibet instead of a small group tour.... We were more flexible and saw it all anyway.
Then there was the time the train derailed on the Altiplano in Peru on the way to Lake Titicaca! We got there much later at night than we planned, so we had to take a boat to the Floating Villages very early the next morning to fit it all in. We were the only ones there.... another bonus!
Do you have time to be a flexible traveler?
Most of the time, things will go just as you or your tour operator plan.... but weather, delayed flights, life, and world events can sometimes throw little "monkey wrenches" into the works.... Hurricanes happen. Roads wash out.
We feel that each trip is an adventure... be a flexible traveler... you might get more than you bargained for... enjoy it!

Begin your hike up Huangshan Mountain early, as it takes approximately 6 hours to reach the summit.
What should I bring with me?
It is very important that you bring comfortable shoes. Be prepared to climb hundreds of steps to the various peaks. As stairs are narrow and the ground sometimes slippery, be careful when you walk along the edge of cliffs. Sneakers are good enough while sturdy, comfortable hiking shoes are a better choice. Bring a jacket with you on your hike. Temperatures drop as the altitude increases, and the weather is a little chilly in the late evening through early morning. Purchase bottled water and some light snacks before arriving at the foot of Huangshan Mountain .Once you arrive at Huangshan, the higher you climb, the higher the prices climb with you. In case of rain, it is recommended that you bring a raincoat instead of an umbrella, because the winds on the mountain can be extremely strong. It is a safety hazard to use an umbrella. A rain jacket will protect you from both rain and wind. It is also recommended you bring a walking stick with you. Walking sticks are very useful even if you are just going up and down by cable car and walking the steps on the top of Huangshan Mountain. A walking stick can help you balance and reduce the weight on your knees. A walking stick that you used to tackle China's Huangshan Mountain might just be the perfect souvenir to remember the wonderful and tiring moments on Mt. Huangshan.
Should I hire a porter?
It is recommended that you leave all unnecessary items behind, as there are many steps. If you have no choice but to travel with your luggage and your hotel is at the summit, it is recommended that you hire a porter to carry your bags. The porter will walk along with you explaining major sites along the way (only in Chinese though), and look after you! The first price given is always too high, so it is necessary to negotiate the price first with the porter before you begin.
Does Huangshan Mountain have a Smoking Policy?
Smoking is not permitted on all parts of the mountain. There are designated smoking areas. Visitors are asked to do their part in preventing fire caused by cigarettes. You can visit http://www.chinaodysseytours.com to get more information about this.

Travel insurance applies to anyone who wants to travel the world, and it includes domestic travels. The risks one may encounter are many and often unprecedented. Travel insurance can be expansive and cover things like loss of luggage/properties, accidents, medical expenses, delayed flights, and even death. A student intending to travel would therefore benefit from a student travel insurance cover, more precisely, a student travel insurance.
You may already know that there are various forms of travel insurance. These are single trip, annual family travel insurance or multi-trip, medical, group, and business travel insurance. Students can obtain most of these types of travel insurance without any trouble and it can be customized based on the student's specifications and needs. The group travel insurance cover, specifically, covers students who are traveling in a group. This is common, especially for schools taking students on educational trips.
A typical student travel insurance policy will often cover a number of things. The most common coverage includes medical expenses, loss of baggage, personal liability, interruption in travel plans and emergency services. Other covers may be included through request. Normally, coverage can be tailor made as much as you would like. Students are regarded as high-risk travelers. Of course, it is only natural since youngsters are more adventurous and daring. So are the activities for which they are insured against. This is even more applicable for students who love extreme sports such as bungee jumping, skiing, rock climbing, or scuba diving, among other activities.
A standard policy will offer compensation for any medical expenses incurred during the trip, delayed departures or cancelled trips, transport costs incurred in the event of an illness or injury, and reimbursements for those whose trips have been shortened unexpectedly. Although, it should be mentioned that some particular policies will not fully cover lost baggage during the trip. In addition, a student may request for an upgrade on the policy where his/her luggage contains valuable items such as laptops, costly electronic devices and sports equipment.
There are also special types of student travel insurance policies. Best example of this is backpacker travel insurance. This is best availed if you intend to backpack in your trips. Unlike the standard travel insurance that is for a limited period, a backpacker's insurance is designed to cover a prolonged travel period as well as addressing the unique needs of the backpacker. Insurance companies also provide student travel insurance for students studying abroad. However, this specific policy has limited medical coverage.
There are plenty of insurance providers that offer various types of student travel insurance. All it requires you is to do some online research and conduct a decent travel insurance comparison in order to get the most apt policy.

Travel Insurance is a real important thing not because it is providing these facilities but their customer satisfaction is also excellent. At one place they are handling so many customers and at the same time the service level has also not gone down or degraded. This thing at its place is really a big thing.
The best thing what I believe about this Travel Insurance is what sort of work they are doing. These days it is turning out to be of great importance because accidents and loss of valuable thing is very much common. Even when it comes to flight cancellation or flight delay this is the biggest boon.
When talking about different perspective people still thing that it is a sign of luxury which is not at all correct. This is simply to make their long awaiting tours the most memorable one. This is to rectify the problems which they face during their tours and if they face any problem Travel Insurance rectify it.
The way Longstay Travel Insurance is emerging it is not only threatening other travel insurance providers but also inspiring many people of taking Travel Insurance and letting them know the importance of Longstay Travel Insurance and by this securing the life of many.
So now whenever you are planning your any of the vacation going to any part of the world, one thing you are dare to forget is Travel Insurance. Because for the best you owe the best and then you get the best.

Would you prefer armchair travel... as opposed to actually being out on the road? We have several friends who love to hear about our trips, but they tell us that they'd never like to go "there"... and it just doesn't seem to matter where "there" is.
We prefer to go and see things for ourselves. All of your senses are challenged... smell, taste, feel. It's not just seeing things. You can read that a rain forest and its animals are beautiful or amazing or... choose your own adjective... but... Until you've scrambled through a jungle, it's hard to appreciate how it smells, how you feel the humidity, how your legs feel after a day of hiking.
We like the excitement of finding our own way and making ourselves understood by the local people, but we realize that not everyone likes that. They don't think of travel as exciting; they think of it as going from one tense moment to another.
We know that there may be some of you who are reluctant to travel. There may also be some of you who can't. Maybe you used to, but you can't get around so well anymore. Or you're busy raising a family. Others can't travel because of health or physical limitations. Or maybe travel just doesn't fit in your budget. We still think it's important to learn about the world outside of the nightly news headlines.
In today's world of technology, you can learn about the world on TV or the internet. You can sample foods from around the world almost anywhere. While you may sacrifice a bit on the smell and feel side, if you're more comfortable with armchair travel, we want to add to your TV and internet experience.
I think the most successful travel shows are the ones whose hosts have become your friends through watching their adventures. We have some favorite travel shows, and that's how we feel. I think it's more exciting to hear about an exotic location from someone you "know", someone you've learned to trust, rather than just watching a narrated travel show on TV or reading a travel magazine.
Hopefully, as you keep up with our travels on our website, you feel like you're getting to know us... that we're your friends. We've always enjoyed helping our friends travel either in person or vicariously though our stories and pictures. So we'd be honored if you could sit back and be an armchair traveler with us.
Let us take you on vicarious adventures. We'll try to paint pictures for you in words and the occasional photo.
If you're just reluctant to travel, let me just warn you, if you read enough stories, you might get over your reluctance and get the travel bug yourself! If you just can't travel... you're more than welcome to come along with us vicariously... we hope you have happy travels with us as armchair travelers.

In travel industry around a decade ago, travel agents earned good revenue selling travel solutions by establishing links with airlines and hotels. Today, the scene has changed. Most of the deals happen through Internet. Hotels, Airlines and other facilities can also be reserved online. They are also in touch with travel portals.
Online travel portals have an upper hand over conventional travel agents on costs as well. The traditional travel agents required more manpower and bigger investments to flourish their business where as an online portal can get in touch with the whole world through a single domain purchase. However, the tough competition among online travel portals have reduced intermediary commission rates thus offering more advantage to customers.
Travel portals are also good because of the reason that people get many information without querying anything. You get information about prestigious luxury hotels, affordable hotels and various rates of domestic and International Airlines. There may be different kinds of travel portals. Some dealing only in domestic tourism whereas, some in International tourism. While searching Internet, I found http://www.ucmliberty.org/ very informative about the tourism industry.

Shopping for the right policy can become tiring, with all the offerings and providers to choose from. Reading its reviews helps you get a feel of what is available, and you can narrow your choices. With these reviews, you virtually eliminate information asymmetry and can make the most optimal decision based on data on hand.
When it comes to the people who are in charge of reviewing its policies, it will be wise for you to consider those who are travelers themselves. This will give you a feel for good and bad policies. Learning from other people's lessons saves a lot of heartache and time.
Oftentimes, the first offer is not the best one. See how different options stack up against each other and get help from other customers. Do consider the providers, the cost of the premium, and of course the extent of the coverage.
You will not always find the best policy features with the most expensive packages. Anyone can find the right package, with extensive policy options, within his means. These advantages only come with travel insurance reviews.
In conducting your review, narrow it down to three to five companies. The second step is to browse their products and consumer feedback pages. To avoid the nightmare situation of being stuck abroad with no one to turn to, make sure you contract a good, respectable insurance provider.
The next and most natural step is to inquire about prices. It is acceptable to look for affordable policies, but it is absolutely not acceptable to compromise in terms of coverage. Lower prices do not necessarily mean less coverage or quality.
Therefore, you should scrutinize the extent of coverage offered by every provider. Its review is like a model showing you the fit of a policy as she walks down the runway. True to form, there are pricey policies with wide coverage and cheaper options that cost less.
Focus first on the features you want before jumping into the travel insurance review. Know how much of your financial resources you can dedicate to insurance. Once you've decided on these two matters, the rest is easy.
To ease the selection process, its review is there to help. Its reviews help you make the best, smartest choice. Never be fooled again into spending beyond your needs.

If you have traveled then you know oh too well how difficult some passengers can be and when their needs are not fully accommodated some even become unruly. This can be very taxing on a traveler who is just trying to grin and bear it throughout the day. And when you add alcoholic beverages to some of these individuals they can very often become belligerent.
Perhaps this is a reason that so many individuals and businesses are staying away from commercial airline flights. When you are trying to get a flight without hassles sometimes you have no choice but to take the bull by the horns and choose a better method of transportation. A private jet charter could be the answer to having a hassle free travel experience each and every time you take off for a new destination.
One of the best parts of this type of traveling is that you are escorted right through the jammed airports without having to have much contact with other people, and when you get on the plane then you are away from them. And when you get to your destination you are escorted again to the waiting ground transportation where you are off to your location of choice. You won't have to put up with any hassles or grumpy passengers, you get a safe and quick flight without the annoying passengers.
Overall when you are able to have a flight without dealing with the other travelers you will have a blissful stress free trip. This allows your travel day to become something pleasant from it's start until it is finished. This is the great reason that is causing many people to switch over to the private charter jet services.

Although there are different types of Travel Insurances, with different specifications, we can broadly distinguish them as 'Single trip insurance' and 'Annual multi trip insurance'. Even though both the types are very popular, they do have their drawbacks.Annual Trip Travel Insurance is advisable for frequent fliers. It covers multiple trips taken during a span of 1 year. This scheme is usually taken by international businessmen, families, and people who love to travel. When you have this type of insurance, you don't have to worry about getting last minute insurance cover, when there's an emergency. On the other hand, Single round trip insurance is cheaper and is a better option for people who plan their trips. If you're a student and planning to backpack across Europe, get yourself a Single round trip insurance. Nowadays insurance companies even give discounts on group insurance. And of course, if you're a honeymoon couple looking to explore the scenic pastures of Switzerland, get yourself insured.
Other special schemes are there for Senior citizens, and Families. One notable insurance cover is the Extreme sports insurance. This type of insurance covers dangerous adventure sports like skiing, scuba diving, white water rafting etc. Although there are not many providers for this insurance, you can still talk to your insurance agent and convert your existing plan to cover these trips too. But understandably, the premium would be excruciatingly high.
Now let's get to terms that are usually covered :
1.Emergency Repatriation and or evacuation - It is the act of returning to your own country, due to any reason.
2.Medical expenses incurred due to injury during the trip.
3.Death or disablement due to injury while travelling.
5.Expenses incurred due to cancelled or delayed flight.
6.Loss, theft or damage to personal possessions and money.
8.Personal legal assistance.
Now let's see the terms which are usually NOT covered :
An illness or a disease with which a person is suffering from, before he/she buys the policy.
Deliberately putting your life in danger - Does that mean eating Octopus on a trip to China could be dangerous? Well, I haven't done that yet, but I'm sure my insurance will cover it, if I choke on an octopus (God forbid) and need emergency treatment.
Claims involving alcohol and drugs - That means you cannot tell your insurance agent that you lost your wallet in Goa, because you were binge drinking.
Claims involving ST D's like AIDS.
Illegal activities - Like medical expenses for getting shot in the leg, while trying to cross into China, will not be covered by the policy. Wow. That one is actually true.
Now the most important part before choosing a policy is to check :
Exclusion - Clauses not covered in your policy.
Deductibles - The amount you need to pay for each claim.
Pre-existing health condition - What I came across online is that a lot of insurance companies are luring customers with a 'No medical check-up' clause. Be thorough in your research and find out what exactly does it mean, before getting an online insurance.
Make sure the insurance company is licensed by the state insurance department.
Does the policy cover natural disasters and what are the restrictions?
What assistance is provided in case of medical emergency/evacuation?
Don't just believe the hype or buy a policy your aunt had bought. There are many websites which give you price quotes by different companies, and compare them for you. One such website is InsurancePandit.com, which I found very helpful. Be safe, and get your trip insured.
